Int’l workshop on information security set for Hanoi this March
The fifth international workshop on information security (Security World 2010) will take place in Hanoi between March 23-24.
The event will be co-organized by the General Department of Technology under the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam Centre for Emergency Response, and the International Data Group (IDG) in Vietnam.
Focusing on the topic, “Building a practical information security strategy in today’s challenging business environmentâ€Â, the event will discuss burning issues for information security in the context of the current economic slowdown. The changing business environment poses bigger risks for businesses. Building an effective information security strategy at a reasonable cost is vital for all enterprises.
This is an annual information technology forum held for IT leaders, IT experts, businesses and policy-makers who play a key role in ensuring national information security. The event aims to raise national information security capacity, build information security strategies for enterprises and organizations, and introduce information security technology and equipment.
Security World 2010 will provide an overview of network security in Vietnam, and suggest a strategic plan for national digital security up to 2015 and better long-term security in the government sector.
An exhibition will also be held to introduce cutting-edge solutions and technology in the field of information security from companies such as SecureMetric, Symantec, Oracle, BKAV, Misoft, M.Tech and NDS.
The event is expected to attract 500 delegates and 2,000 visitors.
