Insurance provider aims to reach 2011 profit of 420b dong

The northern bourse-listed PetroVietnam Insurance Joint Stock Corp (coded PVI) has lately revealed the resolution that was approved by the company’s management board about the 2011 business goals of 4.860 trillion dong in revenue and 420 billion dong in profit.

The company’s management board also passed the plan of raising chartered capital from 1.597 trillion dong to 1.8 trillion dong and issuing convertible corporate bonds.

In the first nine months of this year, the company reported gaining accumulative revenue of 3.642 trillion dong, up 35.7 percent year-on-year and fulfilling 90.43 percent of the year plan; while profit of 246 billion dong, up 43.6 percent over the same period last year.

Up to October 20, 2010, the company reported fulfilling the 2010 revenue plan with over 3.8 trillion dong, equivalent to 106 percent of the year plan. – Dau tu chung khoan
