IFIT 2010 in Hanoi
The Asia-Europe Trade and Investment Promotion Joint Stock Company (ASEM) in conjunction with the Association for Contact with Overseas Vietnamese, the Hanoi Business Association and the Mai Linh Group recently agreed to organize the “First International Fair for Investment & Trade (IFIT 2010)” in Hanoi.
IFIT is part of the international trade and investment promotion program for the domestic market. It gathers businesses and organizations involved in trade, tourism, and investment promotion activities throughout the country. With the goal of exchanging and promoting cooperation between businesses focusing on overseas Vietnamese, IFIT is an opportunity for international organizations and foreign embassies in Vietnam to advertise and exchange culture, education, tourism and trade with businesses and people in Vietnam.
IFIT 2010 will take place at the My Dinh Sport Complex in Hanoi from February 5-7 becoming the first event under the annual fair program.
Nguyen Hong Son, the chairman of the Hanoi Business Association, said that IFIT 2010 intends to tighten the ties between domestic and foreign businesses and between foreign companies in Vietnam. This will also be a chance for people in the capital city to meet overseas Vietnamese, representatives of international organizations and foreign ambassadors in Vietnam.
Under the direction, “ASEM accompanies overseas Vietnamese”, IFIT 2010 My Dinh Hanoi will follow the range of major events for overseas Vietnamese in 2010 including the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese Communist Party and the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
It is expected that IFIT 2010 will host 500 European-standard booths, focused on exports, real estate, tourism, services, franchises and Tet (Lunar New Year) sales. In particular, as part of IFIT 2010, social events will be held including raising money for the Hung Temple Restoration Fund and the Community Health Program.
The IFIT 2010 Organizing Board said that preferences such as free booth rent will be given to fair participants that are representatives of provinces, cities, international organizations, foreign embassies, social organizations, non-profit social funds, business associations and overseas Vietnamese clubs abroad. The Board will also discount the fees for overseas Vietnamese businesses and domestic companies that send information, images, videos, catalogues and products to the fair. With an e-catalogue system and the Asia-Europe Trade Investment Promotion Joint Stock Company’s service facilities, the Board will also support the participants in design, printing and advertising at the fair, saving data, advertising brand names and maintaining cooperative ties after the fair concludes./.
