Honda to lift Vietnam motorbike capacity by a third

Honda Motor Co said on Tuesday it would lift its production capacity for motorcycles in Vietnam by 500,000 units to 2 million a year through an investment of about $70 million.

Honda, the world’s biggest motorcycle maker, said it would double capacity at one of its two motorcycle factories in Vietnam to meet fast-growing demand. The added capacity will be available by the latter half of 2011, it said in a statement.
