Hoang Anh Gia Lai says gross profit at 2.131tr dong in 2010


Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group Joint Stock Co (HAG) has recently announced the combined business results in Q4 and the whole year 2010 with satisfactory figures.



Accordingly, in Q4 alone, HAG gained 1.444 trillion dong of net revenue, rising 356.5 billion dong or 33 percent against the same period of previous year and its gross profit was up 337 billion dong to reach 791 billion dong.



The company’s revenue from financial operations in Q4 2010 increased by 24.5 billion dong to 177 billion dong.



Thus, its pre tax profit increased 309 billion dong (63 percent) from 491.5 billion dong to 800.4 billion dong.



Accumulatively, in 2010, HAG reported gaining 4.525 trillion dong of net revenue from business operations, increasing 160 billion dong or 3.7 percent year-on-year.



Due to the original costs of goods for sales fell 128 billion dong, so its gross profit increased over 285 billion dong from 2.007 trillion dong to 2.292 trillion dong.



Additionally, its revenue from financial operations suddenly surged from 199.4 billion dong to 1.261 trillion dong, equalling a rise of nearly 1.062 trillion dong. This is the main reason leading to its strong profit growth in 2010.



Its financial costs were approximately at 213 billion dong, equalling to the figure in the previous year.



HAG’s pre tax profit was 3.017 trillion dong, rising 1.274 trillion dong or 73.1 percent year-on-year.



The after tax profit of the holding company was 2.131 trillion dong, up 942.6 billion dong or 79.3 percent year-on-year.



The company also reported the earnings per share (EPS) at 7,487 dong in 2010.



Closing the trading session on March 7, HAG-coded shares gained 700 dong to 44,000 dong per share with a total trading volume of over 351,000 shares being transferred.
