Ho Chi Minh City hosts 2011 Vietfish

Vietnam Fisheries International Exhibition (Vietfish) 2011 will be held at the Sai Gon Exhibition/ Fair Centre in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City from June 28-30.

This was announced by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP) at a press briefing in Ho Chi Minh City on June 23.

This is the 13th exhibition held with the aim of introducing and promoting Vietnamese seafood to international market.

This year’s exhibition will attract more than 190 businesses from 15 countries, including Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Japan and the US to showcase a wide range of products, machinery and services.

It will provide a good chance for businesses in the Vietnamese seafood sector to review its development in the past year and seek partners.

On the opening day, VASEP will launch a programme to raise funds for fishermen in the East Sea and present certificates of merit to 49 outstanding export businesses. During the exhibition, seminars on sustainable development of the seafood industry and ways to approach key markets will also be held – VOV
