HCM City’s export import turnover reaches over $18.5b in first 5 mths

Since the beginning of 2010, total export import turnover of HCM City hit over $18.5 billion, up 5.7 percent slightly against the same period of 2009, the city’s Customers Department yesterday reported.

In which, the export of rubber, coffee and rice contributed over $7.9 billion and the import spending of cloth, electronics and food was $10.6 billion.

Customs units of HCM City also collected total tariffs of over 20.5 billion dong, a year-on-year increase of 24.5 percent.
