HCM City to spotlight Vietnam Telecom 2010

The District 7-based Saigon Exhibition and Convention centre next week will host the 13th International Exhibition in Vietnam on Telecommunications and Information Technology.

The four-day event starting next Wednesday will increase the scope of the exhibition and highlight the increasing convergence in information and technology communications (ICT) and the electronics sector.

The expo, one of the biggest and most renowned telecommunications, information technology and electronics event in Vietnam, has received extensive support from local and overseas organisations, businesses, operators, providers, manufacturers and consumers since the first event in 1992.

With increasing demand of customers for entertainment via the broadband internet and 3G connection possibilities, large Vietnamese service operators and international brands including VinaPhone, EVN Telecom, HTC, Huawei, MobiFone, Q-Mobile, SPT, Vietnamobile, Viettel, and VTC are looking forward to introducing their latest products and services to customers.

Many add-on activities will be held and awards will be given for customers.

The Taiwan-based mobile phone producer HTC will exhibit its latest models and sponsor the lucky draw presentation with the mobile models of Aria and Smart.

The China-based Huawei, the leading provider on new generation telecommunications will present a series of new smart phones and mobile phones. It will also sponsor a mobile phone fashion show and a lucky draw that will enable visitors to win their products.

To create pleasant environment and attract visitors to the fair, the organiser will promote product introduction programmes. Photo corners and games with gifts are available in the fair.

There will be prizes for the best designed stall, the most interactive stall and the most popular stall selected by the media.

With 9,000-sq.m. exhibition area, the trade fair is expected to attract more than 200 businesses and groups from 13 countries and territories including Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, China, Singapore, the UK, the US and renowned international exhibitors like NTT DOCOMO, AMDOCS & ZTE, Orange, IBM, Nokia Siemens Networks and PCCW Global.

The main sponsors of the fair are the National Steering Committee on ICT and the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The fair is organised by Information and Public Relation centre under the Vietnam Posts & Telecommunications Group, Vietnam Association for Information Processing and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd – Tuoitre
