HCM city retail sales, services +1.7% to VND30.12T in Jul

Ho Chi Minh City’s total retail sales and services revenues are estimated at VND30.12 trillion (US$1.57 billion) in July, up 1.7% on-month, said the city’s authorities.

The seven-month revenues rose 13.7% on-year toVND204.98 trillion (US$10.73 billion).

The authorities said at a recent meeting on the city’s economic and social issues that Ho Chi Minh City raked in US$1.56 billion from exports in July, up 2.2% on-year, bringing in the total export revenues in the Jan-Jul period to US$12.24 billion.

The city’s CPI in July is estimated to have dropped 0.09% from June, the first monthly fall since Nov 2009.
