HCM City ready for World Economic Forum on East Asia

The 19th World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia in 2010 will take place in HCM City on June 6-7.

The event will help Vietnam to raise its image in the region and make an active contribution to international economic integration, especially when Vietnam is assuming the role of ASEAN President for 2010.

At the forum, Vietnam’s business community will be able to expand their business opportunities with foreign partners and increase dialogues with government officials.

The event is expected to attract 450 delegates, including senior regional officials and CEOs from the world’s leading enterprises, academics and many international media agencies.

The forum will focus on four main topics including Asia’s rising role, global risks, green growth programmes and future growth programmes. It will include a score of meetings where the participants will be able to discuss topics in the four official languages, namely English, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese.
