HCM City plans underground telecoms cable project

Military-run Telecom Corporation (Viettel) has submitted its investment project to run telecommunications cables underground in HCM City’s 29 routes.

The plan has been put to the city’s Department of Information and Communications.

Viettel pledges to set up an underground telecommunications cable system in Districts 3, 5, 6, 12, Tan Binh and Binh Tan.

This system will be applied to cables of Viettel and other telecommunications businesses in 2011-15.
