The American professor will make a speech and present the awards. This is the second time the awards for the most favorite mobile network and mobile phone manufacturer will welcome Professor Quelch.

Quelch is praised as one of the ten most influential marketing experts in the world, according to the “Conversations with Marketing Masters” by Laurall Mazur and Louella Miles.

He has been to Vietnam several times and met with PM Nguyen Tan Dung on September 1 2006. He has assisted in the past with ideas as to how to market Vietnam’s brands

At the Vietnam Mobile Awards 2008, Professor Quelch said he was very surprised about the development of mobile networks and handheld devices in Vietnam. The boom of mobile services and the improvements in customer-care services brought more choices for users. However, the client’s satisfaction, if it had been measured, may not be quite so high.

According to Quelch, it is very important to attach importance to taking care of relations with customers. He said that customers must be respected and better served.

Quelch’s presence at the upcoming Vietnam Mobile Awards 2009 will be another opportunity for Vietnamese firms to learn new ideas in marketing and brands, in caring and building relationships with customers.

One day after the Vietnam Mobile Awards 2009, Professor Quelch will see 500 top businesses of Vietnam (VNR 500) in a presentation entitled “Harvard’s new research about marketing strategy in the digital era” in HCM City.

The Vietnam Mobile Awards was launched the first time in 2005, by VietNamNet’s e-Chip magazine.
