Hanoi’s per capita income to be over 80m dong by 2015

In the next five years, Hanoi targets to gain the average gross domestic product (GDP) growth at 12‐13 percent per year, bringing the capital city’s income per capita to 82‐86 million dong per person per year, nearly two‐fold increase as against the current figure.

Of which, Hanoi’s prioritised sectors will include services and industry‐construction with the growth of more than 12‐13 percent.

With this growth, Hanoi’s per capita income by the end of 2015 is expected at 82‐86 million dong per person per year, 2.3 times higher than approximately 37 million dong per person per year in 2010.

The aforementioned targets were given basing on the GDP growth of 10.73 percent during the 2006‐2010 period. Also in this stage, Hanoi’s income per capita doubled.

These figures have basically reached the agreement from the city’s party conference delegates. – Vietbiz24
