Hanoi’s industrial production value rises 13.8pct in first 10 months
Hanoi’s industrial production value in first 10 months this year reached over 86.629 trillion dong up 13.8 percent against the same period last year, reported Hanoi Statistics Department.
In October alone, the capital city’s industrial production saw a rise of 5.3 percent from previous month.
Particularly, both state-owned firms and non-state domestic firms gained a growth of up to 4.4 percent month on month while the foreign-invested enterprises saw the strongest growth of 6.4 percent m-o-m, reaching 38.431,5 trillion dong in Jan-October
Head of Hanoi Statistics Department, Cong Xuan Mui, said that of the total industrial production in first ten months, processing industry with 23 sectors such as garment and textile, precision equipment production, metal manufacturing, and recycling and machines manufacturing accounted for 95.37 percent of the total industrial production and posted the strongest rise of 13.9 percent year-on-year.
This is also crucial for the growth of industrial production sector with the actualised value estimated to reach up to 82.619,2 trillion dong, exceeding two remaining industries namely mining and water and electricity distribution.
Notably in Jan-Oct, foodstuff and beverage production posted the most impressive growth of up to 17 percent y-o-y. – Vietnam News
