Hanoi’s industrial production value estimated at 8.113tr dong in May

Hanoi’s industrial production value in May is estimated to reach 8.113 trillion dong, up 8.4 percent from previous month, bringing the total figure in Jan-May to 37.697 trillion dong, a year-on-year increase of 12.1 percent, reported Hanoi Statistic Department.

In particular, foreign invested economic areas saw the strongest growth with over 16.244 trillion dong, up 13.9 percent against the same period last year.

Notably, 28 sectors such as mining, processing, production and distribution of electricity and water also posted strong growth. Leading is the recycling industry sector with a year-on-year increase of 55.7 percent but down slightly 0.2 percent month on month.
