Hanoi to spend $13bln on transportation

Hanoi Department of Transport has released a plan under which Hanoi will invest US$12.9 billion in the next 5 years to develop its transportation infrastructure, especially roads.

According to the plan, Hanoi will complete the construction of the two belt roads no. 2 and 3, build a fourth one, upgrade its railway system, and expand existing highways including particular sections of National Highway 1A and 6.

The city will also set aside an additional 400 hectares to build 40 new parking lots. – Tuoitre
