Hanoi to provide digital signature authentication service

The Hanoi telecommunications sector will provide digital signature authentication service for the city’s companies, organisations and individuals as of June 15.
The VNPT-CA service will include digital signature, certificate authentication and public digital signature.

VNPT website http://www.vnpt.com.vn says digital signature is a form of electronic signature based on public key encryption (RSA).
Each user must have a pair of key or keypair including public key and private key. Private key will be used to generate digital signature and public key will be used to verify digital signature authentication that creates digital signature.

Certificate authentication is a form of electronic certificate that is provided by digital signature authentication service provider and can be viewed as an “identity card” used in computer and internet environment. It is used to identify an individual, a server, or some other object and associated object identifiers with a public key. – VIR
