Hanoi to host 10th International Agriculture Fair

Nearly 250 businesses from China, India, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Demark, Germany, Israel and Vietnam will gather at the 10th International Agriculture Fair (AgroViet) in Hanoi on November 11.

Under the theme of sustainable agricultural development, the fair will display specialised and unique products such as ornamental plants, fine art and handicraft products, traditional Japanese cuisine, Ly Son onions and garlic, and varieties from Hunan Island in China.

During the fair, which runs until November 14, several activities will be held including scientific seminars, meetings with farmers, and an exhibition on agricultural achievements.

On the occasion, the Agriculture and Trade Promotion Centre (ATPC) will launch an e-commerce gateway funded by the Danish Government with the aim of improving farmers’ competitiveness and help them gain access to consumers.

Nguyen Van Thang, ATPC director and head of the fair’s organising board, said that the event will promote agricultural development, expand consumer markets and improve production efficiency and competitiveness. This is also a good opportunity for businesses to promote their trademarks and seek domestic consumers and foreign partners. – VOV
