Handicraft villages to show their zeal

Fine handicraft products will be on display at the biennial Viet Nam Handicraft Villages Festival in Da Nang from March 24 to 29.

Among the 60 top handicraft villages registering for the event are Non Nuoc stone carving village, Cam Ne mat weaving village, Bat Trang, Chu Dau, Bau Truc ceramics villages, Phuoc Kieu, Phu Xuan copper villages and Chuong conical hat village.

At the festival’s culinary corner, there will be delicacies from all regions, such as Nam O, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Lien Thang fish source, Ben Tre coconut candy, Nam Dinh rice noodle and La Vong fish grill.

During the festival, artisans from handicraft villages will demonstrate their skills. Meanwhile, a conference, entitled One Village One Product from 2006-2015, will also be held, focusing on the role of handicraft villages in the current process of rural and agricultural modernization. (VOV)
