Halico reports gaining 2009 revenue of 1.058tr dong

Hanoi Alcohol Joint Stock Co (Halico), the member company of Hanoi Beer and Beverage Corp (Habeco) reported earning 2009 revenue of 1.058 trillion dong, increasing by 381 billion dong or 56.3 percent against the previous year, after tax profit of 219.9 billion dong, up 57.5 billion dong or 35.4 percent year-on-year.

The company’s EPS in 2009 was estimated at 20,264 dong, compared to that of 2008 of 22,991 dong.

Previously, in 2008, Halico had paid dividend in shares with purpose of increasing chartered capital from 70.62 billion dong to 108.5 billion dong.

In the latest annual shareholders meeting, the company’s shareholders have approved 2009 dividend payment method, in which the company would pay 2009 dividend in shares with ratio of 84.33 percent and in cash at 10 percent in order to raise chartered capital to 200 billion dong.

After the first three months of this year, the company’s revenue and profit sharply slumped, in comparison with the same period of last year.
The gained revenue in Jan-March reduced by 30.6 percent to 197.5 billion dong while after tax profit dropped by 58.4 percent to 28.2 billion dong.

The company has completed the necessary procedures to move its production workshops at No 94 Lo Duc St to Yen Phong Dist, Bac Ninh province. It was expected that the new factory will be put into operation by Q4 of 2010.
