Hai Phong put container scanner into operation
A container scanner system was put into operation on on May 5 at Hai Phong port in the city of the same name.
The 861-million JPY (around 8.78 million USD) system was funded by the Japanese government through a non-refundable aid for a project to enhance customs management.
The X-ray scanner system is expected to help detect trade frauds and shorten time for custom clearance.
