Ha Long shipbuilder signs new 53,000 tonne cargo vessel contract

Ha Long Shipbuilding one-member Ltd Co (under Vietnam National Shipbuilding Industry Group-Vinashin) on May 16 signed a new contract to build another 53,000 tonne cargo vessel-HL16 for Thailand-based Thoresen Thai Co.
The ship will have five cargo holds and 4 cargo cranes of 36 tonne lifting capacity.

The Denmark Carl Bro Co-designed ship will be installed with modern equipments meeting the rules and regulations of DNV International Registry Agency and latest international conventions on maritime.

This is the 10th ship in the series of 53,000 tonne ships for export built by Ha Long Shipyard and is a dry cargo vessel that is popular in the world. – Vietbiz24
