Gold shot up VND45.2 million/tael again on the morning of August 17

After world gold prices rose to US$1,790 per ounce, the domestic price of gold shot upVND45.2 million/tael again on the morning of August 17.

At 9am, SJC gold in Hanoi was listed at VND45-45.27 million/tael, an increase of VND250,000/tael compared to the previous day’s transaction.

The price of Bao Tin Minh Chau gold was at VND45-45.25 million/tael.

At the same time, SBJ gold at Sacombank in Ho Chi Minh City, hovered around VND45.16-45.24 million/tael.

VND/USD exchange rate at commercial banks increased by VND20-30 per US dollar against the previous day, for instance, to VND20,774-20,824 at Vietcombank and VND20,760-20,824 at BIDV. – VOV
