Gold prices surpass VND39.2 million/tael

The domestic price of gold o­n the morning of July 14 exceeded VND39 million/tael, increasing by VND500,000/tael compared to the previous day, a highest record so far.

SJC gold in Hanoi was transacted at VND39-39.09 million/tael, VND20,000/tael higher than in HCM City.

Meanwhile, SBJ gold at Sacombank was listed at VND38.98-39.08 million/tael, rising by VND520,000-480,000/tael.

In the world market, the price of gold set a new record of US$1,585.2 per ounce.

The foreign exchange rate remained stable at commercial banks, hovering around VND20,520-20,530 per US dollar (buying price) and VND20,600-20,610 per US dollar (selling price).
