Gold prices surpass VND37.8 million per tael

Gold prices in the domestic market increased sharply to VND37.82 million per tael on May 31, up VND100,000 compared to the previous session.

Although gold prices have gone up remarkably in the past three weeks, domestic gold still remains much lower than the world price.

SJC gold in Hanoi was transacted at VND37.76-37.85 million per tael at 10a.m while SBJ gold from Sacombank was listed at VND37.76-37.82 million per tael.

Meanwhile, the world’s gold prices on the Kitco site stood at US$1,538 per ounce, an increase of US$3 compared to the previous transaction session. – VOV
