Gold prices rise slightly

SJC gold at 9.30am on January 9 was transacted at VND35.65-35.74 million/tael, increasing by VND20,000/tael compared to the previous day.

In New York market, the world’s price of gold showed a recovery when it reached US$1,369-1,370 per ounce on January 8 after a sharp decrease in the previous transaction.

In transaction at weekend, the purchase of gold rose after the US Government announced the employment rate in non-agricultural sector was up by 103,000 jobs, lower than the prediction (200,000 jobs).

However, the growth rate of gold prices decreased due to the stronger value of US dollar. – VOV
