Gold prices hit VND47 million/tael

At 13.50 on August 19, SJC gold was domestically traded at around VND47 million/tael, an increase of VND1.5 million/tael compared to the previous day.

Gold traders said that the new record in domestic gold prices attracted the attention of many people, mostly sellers.

On the world market, gold prices rose to US$1,853/oz on August 19 due to a sharp increase in purchasing demand. – VOV
