Gold prices hit 37.9m dong/tael on July 07

Closing the trading session on July 6, the gold price for August delivery in New York increased by $16.5 per ounce, or 1.09 percent to $1,529.2 per ounce.

In the domestic market, at 8:40 am today Thursday July 7 the gold price continued to increase 160,000-200,000 dong/tael in accordance with the increasing momentum in the world market. In details, the gold price of Bao Tin Minh Chau listed at 37.8-37.9 million dong/tael (buying-selling price), rising 170,000 dong/tael from late yesterday.

The SJC gold ingot price in Hanoi also increased to 37.82 million dong/tael (buying) and 37.9 million dong/tael (selling price).

In HCM City, the SJC gold bar price listed at 37.82-37.88 million dong/tael.

The SBJ gold price of Sacombank-SBJ was quoted at 37.81-37.89 million dong/tael.

Thus, in comparison with last weekend, the local gold price increased by 220,000-250,000 dong/tael.

In the world market, the gold price for spot delivery according to Kitco at 8:47 am (Vietnamese time) was at $1,528.2 per ounce, about 60,000 dong/tael higher than the local gold price (according to the forex rate at Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade-Vietcombank-VCB at 20,620 dong/US dollar). – SJC
