Gold prices edge up by VND250,000/tael on Nov 23
By the late morning of November 23, gold prices increased by VND200,000-250,000/tael compared to the early morning and by nearly 1 million/tael against the close of trading on November 20.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Jewelry Company’s Thang Long gold rose by VND950,000/tael to VND28.21-28.55 million/tael. Early in the morning, it stood at VND28.05-28.25 million/tael.
In the meantime, the price of SBJ gold was adjusted 9 times to hover at VND28.27-28.6 million/tael, up VND900,000/tael against transaction on November 20.
By 11.30 am on November 23, as many as 43,400 taels of gold had been transacted at VND25.04 million/tael on the VGB floor of Vietnam Gold Trading and Investment Company.
But the figures recorded on the trading floors of VNS Securities Company and the Asia Commercial Bank were much higher at 73,590 and 58,540 taels of gold, respectively.
Currently, the world price of gold is listed at US$1,162.35/ounce, up nearly US$20/ounce against transaction on November 20, but still VND3 million/tael lower than the domestic price.
