Gold prices break VND38 million per tael

Gold prices on the domestic market have surpassed the VND38 million per tael mark, up VND300,000/tael compared to the previous day’s transactions.

On June 18, gold was traded at VND38.2 million-VND38.8 million per tael in Ho Chi Minh City, while the prices in Hanoi hovered between VND38 million-VND38.1 million per tael, or VND300,000/tael more than the previous day.

Meanwhile, gold prices on the world market rose sharply to US$1,540/oz as investors continue to worry about fluctuations caused by Greece’s debt crisis. – VOV
