Gold price up 100,000 dong/tael, US dollar drops to below 19,000 dong

The domestic gold price on June 1 recovered after the world gold price increased slightly while the FX rate in the free market fell to below 19,000 dong per US dollar, lower than the FX rate at banks.

Particularly, the SBJ gold price of Sacombank-SBJ was listed at 27.81-27.83 million dong per tael, up 120,000 dong per tael day on day.

The gold price of Bao Tin Minh Chau was traded at 27.74-27.83 million dong/tael (buying-selling prices), a day on day increase of 110,000 dong per tael.

The SJC gold price of Saigon-SJC Jewellery Co was quoted at 27.8-27.86 million dong/tael (buying-selling prices), rising 120,000 dong/tael day on day.

On June 1, the FX rate in the free market continued to fall by 20 dong per US dollar, ranging around 18,960-18,980 dong/US dollar (buying-selling prices).

At Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank), the FX rate remained unchanged at 18,960-19,000 dong per US dollar (buying-selling prices).
