Gold price surge again to exceed 37.8m dong/tael Jun 16

The gold price in the domestic market today Thursday (June 16) surged again by 70,000-90,000 dong/tael from yesterday but it is still lower than the world gold price by 90,000 dong per tael.

Closing the session yesterday, the gold price for August delivery at New York increased $10 to $1,530.1 per ounce.

At 9:05 am today morning, the gold price in the domestic market rallied by 70,000-90,000 dong per tael from late yesterday to 37.8 million dong per tael (selling price) and the buying price was at 37.72-37.75 million dong/tael.

The gold price for spot delivery according to Kitco at 9h10 am today morning (Vietnamese time) was $1,526.1 per ounce, higher than the domestic gold price by 90,000 dong (according to the today forex rate at 20,620 dong/US dollar).
