Gold price slips to 46.8m dong/tael
Today morning September 16, the local gold price dropped 350,000-400,000 dong per tael to hover 46.8 million dong/tael.
At 8:30 am local time, the SJC gold price in Hanoi was quoted at 46.6-46.8 million dong/tael, down 400,000 dong from yesterday, marking the lowest price of SJC gold since September 2.
The gap between buying and selling prices is about 200,000-580,000 dong per tael, bigger than the difference of 200,000-28,000 dong yesterday.
From early this week so far, the domestic gold price list 750,000 dong per tael.
Closing the session on September 15, the global gold price for December delivery declined $45 per ounce or 2.5% to $1,781.4 per ounce. In the session, even the price had dropped to $1,775 per ounce, marking the lowest since August 26.
On Kitco floor, the spot gold price is traded at $1,774.6 per ounce, lower by $50 per ounce against the closing price yesterday.
According to the forex rate at Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB), the global gold price is at 44.5 million dong per tael, lower than the local gold price by 2.3 million dong/tael.
