Gold price in Vietnam slips to 47.2m dong/tael

At 8:30 am local time today morning (September 15), the gold price in the domestic market decreased 100,000-200,000 dong per tael from later yesterday.
Accordingly, the SJC gold price in Hanoi is quoted at 47-47.22 million dong/tael, down 100,000 dong per tael from later yesterday and 300,000 dong per tael from yesterday morning.

The SBJ gold price also dropped 50,000 dong per tael in selling price to quote at 47.24 million dong/tael and the buying price fell to 47 million dong/tael.

The gap between buying and selling price is about 220,000-280,000 dong per tael.

Thus, in comparison with last weekend, the local gold price lost over 300,000 dong/tael.

Currently, the spot gold price on Kitco floor also slipped to $1,815 per ounce, down nearly $20 per ounce over the closing price yesterday. Earlier, the global gold price climbed to $1,838 per ounce.

According to the forex rate at Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB) today, the world gold price is at about 45.5 million dong per tael, lower than the local gold price by 1.7 million dong per tael, higher than the gap of 1.2 million dong/tael yesterday. – Vietbiz24
