Giant vessels can enter Dinh Vu Port

Transport vessels of around twenty thousand tons can now enter the port of Dinh Vu in northern Hai Phong upon completion of its second pier which officially came into operation yesterday.
The 1.5 trillion dong port construction began in 2007 with financial assistance from the Hai Phong Port limited liability company and is expected to be complete by 2013.

So far, four docks, 785 meters in length and with capacities of up to twenty thousand tons, infrastructure, land, a power cable system and a clean water supply system have been successfully constructed. – VNS
