GiaDinh Bank to change name to Viet Capital Bank

Gia Dinh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (GiaDinh Bank) has said that it would organise an extraordinary general meeting on November 3, 2011 to seek shareholders’ approval for changing its name to Ban Viet Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Viet Capital Bank).
The shareholders book was closed on September 30, 2011.

At the same time, the bank will also hike its chartered capital from two trillion dong to three trillion dong.

It is reported that as of the end of July, 2011, GiaDinh Bank offered 100 million shares to the existing shareholders at the ratio of 2:1 and priced at par (10,000 dong per share) to scale up its chartered capital from two trillion dong to three trillion dong.
