Gia Lam airport to serve civilian, military flights

The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has agreed to use Gia Lam Airport for both civil and military purposes.

The project has an estimated investment capital of VND100 billion (US$5.3 million).

Under the master plan signed by the MoT, the airport will be able to handle 162,000 passengers a year and accommodate three aircraft – ATR72s and Fokkers. — VNS
