German company to distribute MTU equipment in Vietnam

Propulsion and power solutions specialist Tognum held a signing ceremony in Hanoi on June 17 to announce its new MTU distributorship agreement with V-TRAC Joint Stock Company.

V-TRAC will officially distribute products of Tognum-MTU in the Vietnamese market, including power generators and power systems for ships, locomotives, and trucks.

Peter Kneipp, CEO of the Tognum subsidiary MTU Asia, says this distributorship will give Vietnamese customers an opportunity to buy Tognum-MTU equipment at competitive prices and enjoy the benefits of professional sales, after-sales, and guarantee policies as well as human resource training.

Tognum has a global system of distribution and service with 140 partners and 500 authorised agencies. Since setting up a branch in Vietnam in 1994, it has occupied a 31 percent share of the country’s distribution market for engines and has taken the lion’s share of the Asian market for nine consecutive years.
