Gas stations fined for hoarding

Many of the gas stations in Mekong Delta and Southeastern regions which have been founded to stop selling to hoard were fined Tuesday.
Luu Van Nguyen, CEO of Petromekong, confirmed that Gas Station No.30 in Duyen Hai District in Tra Vinh Province had been fined for hoarding.

He said the petrol supply given to this retailer had been increased by 20 percent to 30 percent so it couldn’t have run out of petrol to sell.

“Petromekong has enough supply for all of its retailers,” Nguyen said.

Meanwhile in Binh Phuoc Province, Nguyen Xuan Phu, an official from the provincial Market Management Unit, said his unit had imposed a 17.5 million dong fine on Ngoc Thanh Gas Station in Tan Tien Commune in Bu Dop District for hoarding.

In Bac Lieu, the provincial Market Management Unit has also found the same violation at 7 gas stations throughout the province.

Phan Van Sau, deputy chair of Bac Lieu Department of Industry and Trade, said Bac Lieu’s market management investigators were always on duty to prevent hoarding. – Tuoitre
