Furniture and handicraft fair to be held in HCM City

The Viet Nam International Furniture and Home Accessories Fair (VIFA 2009) will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City from March 11th- 14th, 2009 by the HCM City Handicraft & Wood Industry Association (HAWA).

It is estimated that over 6,00 business delegations from 61 countries and territories have so far registered to attend this year’s event, almost double the figure of the VIFA in 2008, Tran Quoc Manh, vice chairman of HAWA said at a recent press conference to introduce the fair.

Reportedly, the organization board of VIFA 2009 will spend around US$150,000 to advertise the event in foreign furniture magazines.
