Fixed coffee trading floor launched

Under the framework of the third Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Transaction Centre opened its fixed coffee trading floor on March 11.

The fixed coffee trading floor aims to provide farmers, coffee businesses and investors with a financial tool to cope with risks.

Fixed transactions are being applied to Robusta coffee products in Vietnam for the first time. Vo Thanh Chau, deputy director of the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Transaction Centre said that this will help attract more investors to get involved in the centre and help the market increase its liquidity as well as make the market become more active.

Transactions will be conducted in Vietnamese dong to facilitate the involvement of all investors. The fixed coffee trading floor will be piloted by the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Transaction Centre for one year. Along with the transactions, the centre will continue to promote activities to attract more investors. – VOV
