First Subaru showroom opens in Vietnam

The first showroom of Japan’s Subaru cars in Vietnam opened on Wednesday in Ho Chi Minh City, offering cars starting at US$66,900.

The showroom, located in Phu Nhuan District’s Center Point Building, aims to bridge Subaru with people who love the brand, official distributer Motor Image Vietnam said in a statement.

Suabaru Forester is the first model distributed in Vietnam.

“We are extremely pleased to bring Subaru into the Vietnam market,” said Nicky Mariano, chief operating officer of sales and marketing for Motor Image Group ASEAN.

“We believe Subaru will achieve success in Vietnam… due to its advantage of the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.”

Subaru holds 2 percent of the global car market, with sales increasing 20 to 30 percent every year, Motor Image Vietnam said late last year.
