First ICT Event in Can Tho

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, the Can Tho Department of Information and Communications, the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA) and the Can Tho Association for Information Processing (CAIP) will together launch an event for information and technology communications (ICT) exchange, alliance and development on May 14-16 in the city of Can Tho.

The organizing board will organize a workshop, a product exhibition, a meeting between ICT businesses, users and students, an ICT Connection Tennis Friendship Competition, visits to social organizations, tours and more.

Representatives of Can Tho will attend the workshop to brief ICT development in the city and the region, projects needing investment in ICT in Can Tho, ICT businesses there, the demand for ICT application, reports by ICT associations such as HCA, VEIA (Vietnam Electronic Industries Association) and VNISA (Vietnam Information Security Association). Businesses will show their products, solutions and technologies that are to boost ICT application and development in provinces/cities.

The meetings between ICT businesses and users are to seek markets and investment opportunities, and those between managers, businesses and students from regional colleges and universities are to clarify job opportunities and occupational directions in the ICT sector. The event will also be an occasion for participants to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, My Khanh – Phong Dien Resort, Ca Mau Peninsula, Sam Mountain, Chau Doc town and Phu Quoc Island./.
