Expansion work on Hanoi’s ring road No 3 under BT method

Ministry of Transport has approved the proposal of Hanoi City People’s Committee about applying BT method (building-transferring) for undertaking the expansion project of ring road No 3, from Mai Dich to Noi Bai.

Previously, Ministry of Transport had submitted to prime minister to add this project, with total investment capital of 3.668 trillion dong in the list of G-bonds funded projects up to 2015 and for advancing state budget for 2011 year plan. However, due to shortage of state budget, Hanoi City People’s Committee had to change the implementation method into BT method.

In order to start the construction work on this project by the end of this year, ministry of transport has suggested to the prime minister to allow the people’s committee to appoint investors for conducting this project.
