Gaps in information and cyber security still exist despite the rapid development of information technology in recent years, and 2010 was considered a “heated” year for cyber security with the appearance and spread of new viruses and more professional and sophisticated hackers.

In Vietnam, many enterprises are faced with the foundation and spread of many new variations of viruses, and the number of cyber attacks has boomed.

According to the latest report from ASEAN IDC, it is estimated that the prospects for information security will be promising in 2011. The growth of the software security market is fostered by increasing threats of data loss and attacks, and the increased need for security management in companies and with individual users. The report also points out that risk management in the security market is expected to grow at its highest rate of 13% in 2011. While the risk management and information security market is estimated to increase by 10.5% compared with that in 2010, the identity and access management market will increase by 12.5% during the same time. – VOV
