Dung Quat Oil Refinery upgrades plant

The Japanese contractor JGC has been awarded a contract to upgrade the Dung Quat Oil Refinery plant.

Under the contract, JGC will complete a feasible study in 22 weeks.

When it is finished, the US$2.5 million project will increase the plant’s output to 10 million tonnes a year from the current 6.5 million tonnes a year.

The Dung Quat Oil Refinery Plant, whose capital investment is over US$3 billion, provides about 30 percent of the nation’s petrol. – VOV
