Dung Quat oil refinery stockpiles nearly 300,000 tonnes of gasoline
During the maintenance period starting from July 15, Binh Son Oil Refining and Petrochemical Co, Ltd, the operator of Dung Quat oil refinery, will actively import one million tonnes of fuel to ensure the domestic supply.
Nguyen Hoai Giang, the company’s general director said that from July 15, Dung Quat oil refinery officially suspended operations for the first overall maintenance.
Maintenance period is scheduled to last 62 days and nights.
Currently, gasoline inventories of Dung Quat oil refinery is approximately at 300,000 tonnes. When the factory shuts down, the stockpiled gasoline volume is to serve the market in the coming week.
The operation suspension of the plant for maintenance was reported to the Ministry of Trade and Industry to announce to fuel dealers such as PV Oil, Petrolimex and Petec to actively import about one million tonnes of all kinds of fuel oil and LPG to ensure the supply for domestic market.
As planned, the plant will resume operation on September 7 and operate with full capacity from September 14.
