At 2:00 pm on July 17 at the port of Dung Quat oil refinery, the PV Oil Anpha ship of Vietnam Air Petrol Corp (Vinapco) will receive and transport 3,000 cubic meters of Jet Fuel (JA1) for Vietnam Aviation Corp (VNA) to provide fuel for domestic and international flights, Nguyen Hoai Giang, general director of Binh Son Oil Refining and Petrochemical Co, Ltd said on July 16.
The products include liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), propylene, Mogas 90, Mogas 92 and Mogas 95 petrol, Jet A1 fuel, kerosene and diesel oil.
According to Giang, Dung Quat plant’s JA1 price is equal to VNA’s import fuel price.
“After the first fuel shipment, the following supplies for VNA will have to wait till the plant resume operations after the first 62-day and night overall maintenance (from July 15 to September 7). About 100,000 tonnes of gasoline is expected to be turned out from now till the end of this year. Dung Quat oil refinery estimates to produce averagely 350,000-400,000 tonnes of JA1 gasoline yearly, Giang added.
On November 9, 2010, the Ministry of Science and Technology granted an ISO 17025 certificate, certifying that Dung Quat’s Jet A1 petrol meets 21 technical standards.
This is the first batch of JA1 gasoline from Dung Quat oil refinery for VNA, said Giang. – SGGP
