The domestic prices of powder milk have posted an average increase of 10% since February 15 due to the recent devaluation of domestic currency and higher input prices, the local newspaper Saigongiaiphong reported on February 17, citing local traders.

The prices of Frisco milks rose by between VND20,000-VND50,000 per box, including Ensure 900 gram ( VND521,000/box, up VND47,000/box); Similac 2 400-gram box(VND204,000/box, up VND21,000), Frisco 3 900 gram box (VND350,000/box, up VND13,000/box).

Anlene milk showed a slight increase of VND10,000 per 400 gram box and VND15,000 per 800 gram box.

The prices of powder milk has increased 16 times with an average rate of between 3%-10% each, following the survey of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Ministry of Industry and Trade said. – Stoxplus.com
