Domestic milk prices to rise 10% in Jan 2011

The domestic milk price will increase by between 3%-10% from the beginning of January 2011

The domestic milk price will increase by between 3%-10% from the beginning of January 2011, the local newspaper Thanhnien reported on December 22, citing the local milk agencies in Ho Chi Minh City.

The prices of Frisco milk will rise by 8% to between VND20,000-VND30,000 per 900 gram box.

Hanco company will raise the milk prices by between 3%-10%, Pham Ngoc Chau, Deputy General Director of Hanco company said.

The prices of powdered milk of Dollac Pro 900 gram will be sold at VND184,000 per box, increasing VND5,000 per box.

The prices of milk hike comes from higher domestic dollar prices, pushing the milk input prices. – Stoxplus.com
